Arte Viva BV is a young and dynamic Dutch company committed to bringing you the latest high-quality innovative products in the field of child safety and female hygiene. Arte Viva (AV) started in May 2000 and currently its products are being sold in over 40 countries on 5 continents.

The four main product ranges for Arte Viva are:

  1. Finger Alert door safety . Door strips that prevent finger entrapment at the hinge side of doors. We have a range of these strips for the consumer market and professional market.
  2. CornerGuard a transparent and flexible 1 meter strip for pointy corners at walls, window-sills and even tables
  3. SmokeGuard smoke detector. A very compact detector including batteries that last 5 years
  4. Urinelle urination cone (a disposable funnel through which women can urinate in a standing position).

While everyone has certainly been busy at Arte Viva, we have our eyes firmly on creating a globally focused company with global distribution links. Which is why inventions from potential business partners and enquiries from other clients or distributors are certainly welcome.

Initiatives

Finger Alert

The Finger Alert is a horizontal strip, which can be mounted on the hinge side of the door and doorframe and which will prevent accidents that children's fingers are pinched, crushed or even amputated between the door and doorframe. At the moment we have three versions: a 110 degree version (for doors opening up to 110 degrees), the Finger Alert professional 170-180 degree version and of late, we have added to our range the Finger Alert Pro Deluxe.

AV has been very successful selling the Finger Alert in the Netherlands and 40 other countries around the world. In 2006 the Finger Alert became European's best selling door safety strip. In 2010 we sincerely believe to be the world's number one selling door safety strip.

Corner Guard

Corner Guard is a transparent strip, in lengths of 1, 1.2  or 2 metres that can easily be glued to any corner, edge, windowsill or even table corners. The strip is made from supple and flexible “TPE”  which is shock absorbent and prevents a child from hurting itself on sharp corner or edges.

Smoke Guard

The SmokeGuard plays a key role in making sure you can escape in time, saving yourself and your family. It gives you valuable extra time which is a matter of life and death when trying to escape from a house fire.

Recent research has shown that smoke alarms in good working order increase your chances of surviving a house fire by 100%.

Urinelle

All women have, at certain moments, wished that they could pee standing up, like men. Now they can! With the URINELLE, a disposable cone through which women can urinate without having to sit down.

The Urinelle was introduced early 2004 and is currently being sold in 20 countries on 5 continents. We aim for 25 countries at the end of 2010. Currently, we are convinced that the Urinelle is the best selling urination funnel in the world too, just like the Finger Alert door safety strip. The Urinelle is sold in the following markets:

  1. Consumer (websites, pharmacies etc)
  2. Medical (health clinics, hospitals etc.)
  3. Outdoor (pop concerts, marathons, yacht clubs etc.)
